As a Professional Artist, I really enjoy the commission work that comes into my studio. Last week, I was given a task from the Corning Family, formerly of Massachusetts, currently of Florida…a lovely group with whom my family has grown quite friendly. 18 inches of lustrous green pearls (5-7mm ovals) intermingled with Serpentine Jade carved and faceted beads. The center piece, a Fine Silver ornate hollow form, is set with a synthetic Peridot at the apex. I have dangled a replica Ancient coin (Roman on one side/Spanish on the other) with a patinated finish from the very center. A magnetic clasp finishes it off, making it very user friendly.
