Transforming this lump of Titanic coal into a treasured work required some magic on my part. It seems that re-cycling objects and re-assigning value to them is what I do best. This was a great opportunity to learn about the Titanic, preservation of artifacts,  protecting a delicate object, and inventing new ways of attaching things. 18 inches of lustrous green pearls (5-7mm ovals) intermingled with Serpentine Jade carved and faceted beads. The center piece, a Fine Silver ornate hollow form, is set with a synthetic Peridot at the apex. I have dangled a replica Ancient coin (Roman on one side/Spanish on the other) with a patinated finish from the very center. A magnetic clasp finishes it off, making it very user friendly.
