As a Professional Artist, I really enjoy the commission work that comes into my studio. Last week, I was given a task from the Corning Family, formerly of Massachusetts, currently of Florida…a lovely group with whom my family has grown quite friendly.  Titanic Coal and Magic

Transforming this lump of Titanic coal into a treasured work required some magic on my part. It seems that re-cycling objects and re-assigning value to them is what I do best. This was a great opportunity to learn about the Titanic, preservation of artifacts,  protecting a delicate object, and inventing new ways of attaching things.
