Breast is best, a unanimous decision indeed. Who does not love them? This is the prototype for a line of dessert ware that will inspire you to lick the bottom of the bowl. And, hey, there is a raised, tactile nipple too…just for fun! A great man gift? Absolutely! Personally, I think everyone should have a set!

The Mission of A Commission
1 year ago 0

As a Professional Artist, I really enjoy the commission work that comes into my studio. Last week, I was given a task from the Corning Family, formerly of Massachusetts, currently of Florida…a lovely group with whom my family has grown quite friendly. The end product, a beautiful fused glass platter, turned out very well…it incorporated the correct color combination, addressed a theme of community and growth, and came with a brief description and story. Articulating thoughts and ideas into art [...]

Together Forever
1 year ago 0

Every day, I go down a new road with my work and I have to say that it is the mystery of it all that keeps me going. Being open to what comes next brings the gift of adventure and the opportunity to meet some amazing people along the way. Recently, I was commissioned to create two pieces of  cremation jewelry for a family who had lost a special Mother and Father/Grandparents.  Each piece has cremains from the mother on [...]

Balance It Out
1 year ago 0

This Fine Silver sculpture, also a necklace, is something we all carry around in our heads.  Deep inside of  our ears, the semicircular canals are responsible for balance. If you are an Audiologist, this resonates with you  immediately. (haha, good pun)  If not, then it seems somewhat esoteric, and maybe you are focused on the gymnast doing the balancing act in the center and just see crazy rings. (I am ok with that!) While reading up on the convoluted structures [...]

Wedding Season Is Here!

With the Royal Wedding just days away, it is impossible to escape the media blitz of the pending nuptials. I woke up the other morning with a wheel in my minds eye…so I made in glass what I saw in my head. That’s how I roll. Well, the wheel turned out to be this lacy, monochromatic open-space bowl. Leaving much to the imagination, I see this as a series and having many options…maybe add colorful seasonal fruit or weave ribbons [...]

 Titanic Coal and Magic
1 year ago 0

Transforming this lump of Titanic coal into a treasured work required some magic on my part. It seems that re-cycling objects and re-assigning value to them is what I do best. This was a great opportunity to learn about the Titanic, preservation of artifacts,  protecting a delicate object, and inventing new ways of attaching things. This curious window, comprised of Art Glass and Fine Silver, beckons you to peer into it.  The delicate scroll work around the sides is indicative [...]

Old World Elegance

18 inches of lustrous green pearls (5-7mm ovals) intermingled with Serpentine Jade carved and faceted beads. The center piece, a Fine Silver ornate hollow form, is set with a synthetic Peridot at the apex. I have dangled a replica Ancient coin (Roman on one side/Spanish on the other) with a patinated finish from the very center. A magnetic clasp finishes it off, making it very user friendly. This is a statement piece you will want to wear frequently…and please do!

Gimme some love!
1 year, 2 months ago 0

Red fused glass surrounded by a Fine Silver bezel and a dot with purple Dichroic glass at the bottom. This is kind of an exclamation…not a regular “I Love You”. More like “HEY, I LOVE YOU!!!” with raised eyebrows and a big smile! Comes on a waxed linen cord that is adjustable. Pendant part measures 1.5 inches long. Wear it. Love it. Give it as a gift.
